Selectcanal-TV LLC, founded in 2002, holds the broadcasting license for the television station N4, which was originally known as Rif TV from 2002 to 2006. The company is owned by three individuals: Alexandru Sîrbu (80%), Eugeniu Sîrbu (10%), and Andrei Borșevici (10%). Currently, Selectcanal-TV LLC is managed by John Maxemchuk, a former business partner of Alexandru Sîrbu in Sun Communications (Sun TV), a cable TV and internet provider acquired by mobile operator Orange in 2016.

Over the past three years, Selectcanal-TV LLC has received multiple sanctions from the Audiovisual Council, including public warnings and fines, for insufficient local programming and the absence of Romanian dubbing in children’s movies.
