N4

N4 television channel was founded in 2002 by Alexandru Sîrbu, who at that time controlled one of the largest cable TV and internet operators - Sun Communications (Sun TV). Until 2006, the channel was called Rif TV and predominantly broadcast films in Russian. Currently, N4 is a general channel with national coverage, featuring news, talk shows, interviews, TV series and artistic films. The channel's most well-known and popular product is the political show "The Fourth Power," hosted by Gheorghe Gonța.
In 2022, N4 broadcast, for several months, a show produced by Natalia Morari, a former television journalist who was at that time at the center of a scandal related to her relationship with controversial businessman Veaceslav Platon. The collaboration between Morari and N4 ended in December 2022.
In the last three years, Selectcanal-TV SRL, N4's founder, has been repeatedly sanctioned by the Audiovisual Council with public warnings or fines for insufficient local programming, as well as for the lack of Romanian language dubbing in children's films.
