Sergey Rudnov

Sergey Rudnov (born 1986) is a citizen of the Russian Federation and the son of Oleg Rudnov, who has been reported by both Russian and international media to have been a childhood friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Oleg Rudnov was the owner of Baltic Media Group (BMG) and co-owner of a bank in Russia. After his death in 2015, the BMG company was passed on to his son, Sergey, who is also the owner of the Regnum news agency in Russia, as well as owner or co-owner of several companies in the country. International media has reported that Sergey Rudnov owns a villa in Saint Petersburg, known by local residents as Putin’s Villa, which he inherited from his father.
Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, Sergey Rudnov was included in the sanctions lists of Canada, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom for supporting Russia's actions in the conflict. Although there are no confirmed official reports, Russian and international media have claimed that Sergey Rudnov controls the publication Komsomolskaya Pravda through the company LDV Press, where he allegedly holds a majority of the shares. In several companies, he is associated with Gazprom Media Holding.
