KP Editorial manages the publication KP in Moldova since 2023, previously the publication was managed by the Commercial Company "Komsomolskaia Pravda-Basarabia" SRL, which founded the newspaper "Komsomolskaia Pravda in Moldova" in 1995. The company is now in the process of liquidation.

Public records show that until liquidation, the firm changed several owners. Most recently, it was owned by "Exclusiv Media," which is associated with Corneliu Furculiță, a member of parliament from the pro-Russian Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM).

KP Editorial is a subsidiary company (although there is no official connection between them) of the company that owns KP in Russia, ”PUBLISHING HOUSE KOMSOMOLSKAYA PRAVDA” (in Russian  ”ИЗДАТЕЛЬСКИЙ ДОМ КОМСОМОЛЬСКАЯ ПРАВДА”). There is no official public data, as of 2024, about the owners of KP in Russia, but older documents, as well as articles from the Russian and international press show that the publication in the Russian Federation is owned by the joint-stock company ”PUBLISHING HOUSE KOMSOMOLSKAYA PRAVDA” (in Russian "ИЗДАТЕЛЬСКИЙ ДОМ КОМСОМОЛЬСКАЯ ПРАВДА").

The main shareholder of this joint-stock company is "LDV Press", ООО, owned by businessman Sergey Rudnov in proportion to 75 percent. Sergey Rudnov is on sanctions lists of Ukraine, UK and Canada as an involved person, through his ownership of news agency Regnum which contributes to destabilising, undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

Furthermore, in early October 2024 it was announced that Rudnov’s media groups Regnum and Komsomolskaya Pravda would receive state subsidies in sums of RUB 152 mln (USD 1.58 mln) and RUB 438.7 mln (USD 4.57 mln) in 2025 respectively.
