Ceslav Ciuhrii

Ceslav Ciuhrii is a well-known businessman involved in the pharmaceutical, real estate, and hospitality industries. He became publicly recognized after one of his companies purchased the building of the former Guguță café in central Chișinău, which had been embroiled in a years-long dispute. In 2017, he acquired it from a firm associated with politician Vladimir Plahotniuc. Before buying the Guguță café, Ciuhrii was known as the owner of the Cactus and Mi Piace restaurants, which he has since sold.
Regata Imobiliare SRL, owned by Ciuhrii, was the real estate developer responsible for the first Kaufland hypermarkets opened in Moldova. Ciuhrii is currently developing a large real estate complex in Chișinău called Satul German (The German Village) — a complex of apartment buildings and townhouses under construction. Within this complex, Ciuhrii has also built a hotel, which will become part of the international hotel chain Ibis Styles.
Ceslav Ciuhrii is the president of the National Tennis Federation of Moldova and the founder of a foundation bearing his name, which "supports charitable actions, as well as various causes, including the promotion of education and scientific research, preservation of historical and cultural heritage, and environmental protection."
