Dorin Galben is a journalist and vlogger. He graduated from the Faculty of History and Philosophy, specialising in Anthropology, at the State University of Moldova. During his second year, he received an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, which enabled him to study at Akademia Humanistyczna. This international experience deepened his passion for journalism and led him to attend the School of Advanced Studies in Journalism in Chisinau (2013-2014).

Early in his career, Galben joined the editorial team at TIMPUL, marking the beginning of his journey in journalism. He then moved to Agro TV, where he hosted Dialogue with Dorin Galben, followed by his work at 10TV as host of CodGalben, a program focused on social and political issues. From 2019 to 2021, he was with Cotidian.md, where he moderated Cotidianul în direct cu Dorin Galben and introduced the Fără Protocol format, offering prominent figures a platform for open and unrestricted expression.

Galben has also been active beyond journalism, having participated in the Youth Parliament (2009-2010) and served as press officer for the Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs of Moldova (JCI Moldova). He is a dedicated advocate for various social causes, including refugee rights, tolerance, equality, integrity, and combating domestic violence. Through his work, Galben has promoted European values, participating in media projects led by the European Union and UNDP, and has taken a strong stance against foreign aggression, advocating solidarity with Ukraine amid Russian aggression.

Known for supporting political transparency and reform, he has been critical of former Prime Minister Ion Chicu and Igor Dodon, and he has addressed issues such as removing immunity from controversial parliamentarians. On his YouTube channel, Galben has interviewed hundreds of notable personalities from politics, business, culture, sports, and entertainment. However, his interviews with Veaceslav Platon and Natalia Morari drew criticism from the journalistic community and the public for not pressing these figures with challenging questions, with some accusing him of merely providing them with a platform. Following the interview with Platon, Galben’s collaboration with TV8 was halted, and his program Freedom was suspended. Galben denied these allegations.

He is also the creator of the interview series Monolog, where guests share personal life stories. Due to the lack of a right of reply in this format, the Press Council responded to complaints, recognising legal infringements and condemning the format.

Galben’s broad online following is largely due to his interviews with various figures in Moldovan society, where he discusses social issues, controversies, and other topics with a “yellow press” flair, including scandals between former spouses, interviews with adult film actresses, and details of his personal life. On social media, he openly shares his relationship with his fiancée Violeta Scrișu, their travels, and other aspects of his personal life.

Politically, he is known to be pro-European, supporting Maia Sandu and the PAS party. He also promotes a positive approach to issues around sexuality, relationships, gender equality, sports, and a healthy lifestyle. His media content often includes integrated advertising, and he collaborates with various businesses and brands, frequently appearing in commercials.
