Veaceslav Perunov is the director and founder of the independent local newspaper "SP" in Bălți, as well as the website eSP.md.

He has been active in journalism since 1989 and has managed "SP" since 1995, when it was originally launched as a publication for advertisements and announcements. He has received numerous awards for his journalistic work, including two awards from the Center for Independent Journalism in 2002 and 2005 as part of the "10 Journalists of the Year" Gala, and the "Best Press Manager" award in 2002 from the Independent Press Association.

Veaceslav Perunov graduated from Balți State Pedagogical University with a degree in Physics, but he quickly transitioned to journalism, becoming a reporter and participating in various communication and journalism projects.

Between 2007-2011, Perunov was elected independent municipal councilor in Balti.

He served as president of the Independent Press Association, a non-governmental organization that represents several independent local and national publications, and was also a member of the Press Council.

Additionally, he hosted a show on the TV8 channel called Glorious mixture, in Russian "Славная мешанина," a satire, humor, and analysis program aimed at the Russian-speaking audience, which he co-moderated with Mihail Sirkeli, the director of the Nokta portal from Gagauzia.

He was a trainer for the local press in several projects. Before the journalistic activity, he organized beauty contests, exhibitions and electoral campaigns for candidates for local positions in Balti.
