7 TV

7TV is a general-interest television station in Moldova, available through cable and IP TV networks. Broadcasting news bulletins in both Romanian and Russian, 7TV also rebroadcasts the talk show "7Zile," which is also aired on another TV station owned by the Stețco family, Cinema 1. Cinema 1 is owned by Irina Stețco, the sister-in-law of Nichita Stețco, the owner of 7TV.
In May 2024, the Audiovisual Council conducted a content monitoring and discovered that several programs were broadcast simultaneously, or with minor time differences, on both Cinema 1 and 7TV. These programs included "Новое утро" (with a difference of approximately 3 minutes), "500" (with a difference of about 10 seconds), "Азбука вкуса" (with a difference of about 8 minutes), and "7 Days" (with a difference of about 5 minutes).
7TV adopted its current name in November 2023, following a rebranding from Ren TV. Prior to that, it was known as DTV and Look TV.
Media Production TV, the company holding the licence for 7TV, has faced multiple sanctions from the Audiovisual Council due to various violations, some of which have been recurring. These violations include insufficient local content, failure to submit program recordings, and biassed coverage of certain socio-political events.
