Early in his career, Buimistru focused his criticism on opponents of the PSRM, but in recent years, he has distanced himself from the Party of Socialists and now targets critics of political parties controlled by the fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor. Besides politics, he covers a range of topics including social issues, lifestyle, culture, travel, and architecture. He often engages with speculative and sometimes false topics, which he shares on his platforms; at times, he generates fake news himself. Buimistru frequently uses humour, satire, and pamphleteering to disguise these falsehoods, drawing on his original background in comedy.
