Alexandru Lebedev is an entrepreneur and specialist in media and public communication. He founded the youth website diez.md, which launched in June 2013. Prior to that, he spent two years at Granat, one of the first digital agencies in the Republic of Moldova, where he served as the Social Media Manager and handled brand communication for several companies, particularly on social networks.

Lebedev has also been involved in various social projects, such as PaperGirl Moldova (an urban art project) and the Moldova International Model United Nations (an extracurricular conference aimed at educating participants about the activities of the United Nations), where he was responsible for communication. Additionally, he completed an internship at the NATO Information and Documentation Center in Chișinău.

He co-founded and trained at the RockIT Digital Academy, a project designed for young professionals seeking to enhance their skills in the digital environment. He has served as a media expert and consultant on several projects, including those for local media. He has written articles about the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova for Bloguvern, a website that analyzes the activities of state institutions. He also maintained a personal blog titled "Home to the Flyer."

Lebedev studied at the University of State of Moldova, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences, specializing in Communication Sciences (Public Relations). During his second year of college, he participated in a study exchange program in the USA at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska, where he deepened his knowledge of Mass Communication. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in business at the Technical University of Moldova.

He is one of the founders of XY Partners SRL, a company that provides support to start-up businesses through mentoring and operational assistance. Lebedev owns 33.33% of the company, alongside Traian Chivriga (33.34%) and Olga Melniciuc (33.33%).

Alexandru Lebedev's wife, Alina Gîrnet, has been the general manager of Diez since 2019 and is also an administrator at Diezmedia SRL, a company founded by Lebedev, which manages Diez.

  • Alina Gîrneț
    Alina Gîrneț is a journalist who has served as Diez's general manager since 2019. She is also the administrator of Diezmedia LLC, one of the companies managing Diez that was founded by her husband, Alexandru Lebedev. Gîrneț joined the Diez team in 2014 as a reporter. In 2017, she briefly worked as editor-in-chief before returning to part-time reporting. In 2019, she assumed the role of general manager. She has authored several youth-focused media projects published on diez.md. In 2016, she was recognised as the most active journalist promoting volunteering at the Volunteer Festival. That same year, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at the State University of Moldova. She later pursued Central European Studies at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, from 2017 to 2019.
